Tend Privacy Policy

Effective September 12, 2026

Plain English summary: MMUR screenshots and raw OCR text stay on your iPhone. Extracted values you approve may sync to your private Tend account. Tend does not sell or license your health information.

Information you provide

You may provide an optional profile name, MMUR limits and expiration dates, purchase history, session notes, preferences, and comparison targets. Apple or Google may provide an account email when you choose their sign in option.

Screenshot processing

Apple Vision reads screenshots on your device. Tend does not upload selected screenshots or raw OCR text and does not log in to MMUR. Extracted values are shown for review before they are saved.

Private cloud storage

Tend uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore to keep synchronized data in records scoped to your account. Other app users cannot read those records. Authorized service administrators may access cloud data when required for security, support, and operations.

Location

When you allow location access, Apple MapKit uses it to search for nearby dispensaries. Tend does not store precise coordinates in your patient record. If you separately enable anonymous app insights, Tend may record a broad Florida market such as Miami or Tampa.

Optional analytics

Anonymous app insights are off by default. If you enable them, Tend may send feature use and success counts, import outcomes, device type, and a broad Florida market under a separate random analytics ID. Analytics does not include your name, email, patient ID, MMUR number, date of birth, precise coordinates, address, MMUR amounts, purchase details, screenshots, raw OCR text, or receipt text. You can turn this off in More under Privacy.

Services Tend uses

Calculations and limitations

Tend reads values and dated rows visible in screenshots you select. It applies the 35 day Flower and 70 day medical windows printed by MMUR and uses imported expiration dates when available. Tend does not create a physician recommendation, calculate medication doses, connect to MMUR, recommend cannabis products, rank products by potency, or predict an individual outcome. Results can be incomplete when screenshots are missing or outdated.

Retention and deletion

Data remains until you reset it or delete your connected account. In Tend, open More, then Account, then Delete account. Guest users can use Reset all data under Data management. Some limited operational records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Your choices

You can decline Photos, Location, and Notifications permissions, turn off anonymous app insights, reset local and synchronized planner data, or delete a connected account. Tend remains an informational tool and MMUR is the source of truth.

Contact
